A beginning in Lagos and Epe
Born in Lagos on 20 September 1976 and grew up in Epe, among the family and friends who remember a man who always made time for others.
He attended St. Anthony's Grammar School, Ijebu Mushin, before studying Philosophy at Ogun State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. It was a fitting subject for someone who thought deeply about life and how people should be treated. His kindness gave those beliefs everyday expression.
His career took him through logistics, furniture and vocational education. Alongside his professional life, he founded Future Hope Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to children's education and creating opportunities for young people. It reflected his desire to help others find their way and realise their potential.
In his later years, Jide made his home in Manningham, Bradford, where he was an active member of St. Paul's Church. He was a father to Jason and Ethan, a brother, a relative and a friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
Across his family and friendships, the memories of Jide return to his kindness and generosity. He gave his time, his attention and what he could to help others, often without needing to be asked.
